E-commerce Finance Specialist / Accounting Specialist

ADM Totaal B.V. is a growing administration office and is looking for an E-commerce Finance Specialist with demonstrable experience with the financial and accounting aspects of e-commerce.

 

We are explicitly not looking for a marketer or webshop manager. We are looking for someone who understands how the cash flows behind webshops, marketplaces, and payment providers ultimately end up correctly in the financial administration.

 

Practical experience with e-commerce administration is important for this position.

What will you be doing?

​​

  • Independently processing, verifying, and reconciling e-commerce administrations.

  • Reconciling revenue and cash flows between webshops, marketplaces, payment providers, banks, and accounting.

  • Processing and verifying fees, commissions, refunds, returns, and chargebacks, among others.

  • Assessing and processing national and international VAT, including EU-OSS.

  • Processing and verifying international transactions and, where relevant, inventory and cost of goods sold entries.

  • Analyzing and resolving discrepancies and contributing ideas regarding the efficient setup and automation of e-commerce administrations.

 

Your e-commerce knowledge

We do not expect you to have worked with every platform. However, we are looking for demonstrable practical experience with multiple relevant systems and revenue streams, such as Shopify, WooCommerce, bol.com, Amazon, Mollie, Stripe, PayPal, and/or Klarna.

 

For example, you understand why revenue reported by a webshop does not automatically equal the amounts ultimately received in the bank, and you can independently analyze and reconcile these discrepancies.

What we are looking for

​​

  • A strong financial and accounting background.

  • Demonstrable practical experience with e-commerce administration.

  • Experience with payment providers and/or marketplaces.

  • Knowledge of VAT within e-commerce and preferably EU-OSS.

  • You can independently reconcile financial cash flows and analyze discrepancies.

  • You work accurately, analytically, and independently.

  • Experience with Exact Online is a strong plus.

  • Experience with e-commerce clients at an administration or accounting firm is a strong plus.
